The Pocket Fuel Groovers are a company of New York City based dancers founded by Nick Alselmo in 2020. The movement that we create is a unique style influenced by elements of contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, street dance as well as martial arts. By combining these movement forms with elements of theater, DJ-ing, team sport exercise and ideologies, we aim to push the boundaries of what we think is possible in a performance and communal setting.

Our goal is to generate work demonstrating advanced levels of musicality, athleticism, cohesion, humor and emotional authenticity that can be appreciated by all audiences. We aim to show that with teamwork and support, we can all thrive in whatever our pursuits may be, and have as much fun as possible in the process.
